Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She is a reporter covering everything including NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of Space Tourism. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts as well as an enthusiastic space lover was raised in the field. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings, the 2020 Presidential campaign and efforts by two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Kristin was a TV local reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her expertise behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in making documentary films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
