The role she played was that of a younger wife to an actor of middle age (Shah Rukh Khan) in the film. The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka Sharma starred in the film "Badmash Co,' which was released in 2010. It also featured Shahid Kapoor and the actor Vir Das. This movie was met with mixed reviews. Anushka played a role in a film called Band Baaja Baaraat with Ranveer, where she played a Punjabi-American girl of middle-class who starts her wedding planning business. It received a favourable review and was deemed an overnight success. Anushka's contract for three films under Yash Raj Films was completed by Band Baaja Baaraat.
